If you are closed for a party, at the very least, turn off your open sign. Maybe even place a paper sign in the window? The door slammed in my face was the kicker.

I tried to open the front door, and it was locked. A couple was right behind me, and they were wondering why we could not enter. After a second try with the door, a man with a mullet and a moustache informed us that the place was closed, due to a private party, and we should come back in two hours. We tried to inform him that his open sign was lit, but he slammed the door in our faces.
Let's be clear. This is Texas, and there are many good choices for Tex-Mex. Service is what sets apart the places that survive, from those that close. Given my experience here, I will not return to give them another chance.
Was driving past West on a Sunday (3:00 PM), and pulled off the freeway for a late lunch. I figured I would give this place a try, as it had cars in front and its OPEN sign was on.
