This place had its perks and it's down falls but it's better than t.y.c I learned how to tack welled their I went there back in 04 and they was treating me right I can't speak for now but back then they was great learned alot tack welleding how to raise ducks and how to handle a donkey ...
This place is scary, guns to the face, fighting, a kid was killed here. The staff are rude, there is no education, Female staff have been sexual with the male kids there. Staff have been hitting and choking other kids, and letting the kids fight. Also they shut off their phone so no communication to parents. Staff make fun of the boys.
This was the worst f****** place I have personally ever been to... but the only thing I liked was the one staff that always helped me threw out this place and others as well. Mama brown
Under NO circumstances should you allow your child to b sent he! During the 6 months my son was there, they were under investigation from the state MULTIPLE times. CPS substantiated claims ranging from Medical Attention being denied, to PHYSICAL ABUSE BY THE STAFF. I also have a source close to the ranch that has verified two female staff members have been terminated recently for inappropriate sexual relations with the residents. Also in 1991 there was a 15 year old boy killed on the ranch after being held in a face down restraint for 15 minutes. this child suffocated to death and the staff involved are still employed there. If you question my facts PLEASE pull up the CPS website and search Brookhaven Youth Ranch and read through their last 2 years reports. Google Anthony Green and the ranch. That was the boy murdered there!
My names is Julian 30 years old now was there as a teen I was 13 years of age when I was there was beaten by staff watch staff members strangle other kids there and when I was able to speak to my so called therapist and tell her what going on she told me I was crazy and making things up they tryed to keep me druged on depression medication I never took them cause I fear for my life there I'm still tourmented by what happened to me there and what I have seen staff putting guns in kids faces is not helping them
